About Meadow Creek
Why country music ?
~ Well, we sort of grew up with countrymusic both of us. Our parents were listening to it and we
probably get inspired. So it came natural to start playin and singin’countrymusic, even though it’s
not the only genre we’ve been dealing with 😉
If everything would be possible (waking the dead included) , which two people should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ We think Emmy-Lou Harris and Elvis would be a great couple for a duet, if it would be possible
to bring him back for a while of course 😉
What song you ever recorded means the most to you and why?
~ “NOT ANYMORE” is very special for us, because this song was the “starter” for both our record
and the whole project Meadow Creek you can say. We really love this song and it also turned out
to be our first “single” from the record.
Who would you like to write a song for you?
~ Jason Isbell or Kacey Musgraves perhaps ??That would be supercool!
What is the one thing that readers/fans would be surprised to know
about you?
~ Hmm…that both of us has been members of one of Swedens first “ABBA tribute shows” maybe?
Give us one country song you never want to hear on radio anymore and tell us why.
~ “I will always love you” , not because we dont like it. Its a great song from the beginning but it’s
been “worn out” through the years and we heard to many bad karaoke versions , hahaha!
What is the question interviewers never seem to ask you and…you wish they would? (Please provide your answer as well.)
~ It would be great to hear a reporter ask: How did it feel to play your music for a sold out
Wembley ? hahaha!
How would you like to spend a day with each other when you were not
allowed to make music or to talk about music?
~ Wow!thats really not an option, hahaha! Maybe we just sleep all day dreaming songs and that
talk about it the next morning 😉
Johnny or June ?
~ We have to say BOTH Johnny and June, we are similar in many ways. A lovecouple who has the
possibility to create music together, the best of both worlds 😉
Are you still nervous before going on stage and if so, do you use any “rituals” to calm you nerves.
~ Not nervous, but still very focused. We always try to be very well prepared before entering the
stage, but we don’t have any special “rituals” more then maybe a glass of Prosecco while tuning
the guitars.
What was the most memorable day in your musical career and tell us why.
~ As songwriters our “all time high” is the moment when we wrote a song together with Thomas
Holmstrand for the swedish selection (Melodifestivalen) for the Eurovision Song Contest in year
2000. The song “When spirits are calling my name” performed by Roger Pontare won the
competition in Sweden and in the ESC it ended up on 7:th place, and that was more than we could
wish for. It was a very special moment and we are so grateful for that song.
