The new Stormy Montana "Weary Angel" video
March 12, 2010

Stormy Montana ( http://stormymontana.com ) is proud to announce the release of her new music video for her song "Weary Angel". Coming off the heels of the highly successful video launch for "Sing This City Home", which has already had over 4,000 views in only 2 months, "Weary Angel" continues Stormy's work with celebrated director Marcel. Stormy says, "We had such a good time working together on Sing This City Home that when we were discussing this video and who we should get to direct, there wasn't any question. It had to be Marcel."
The video takes viewers on a journey as seen through the eyes of an older artist (played by 85 year old Doris Freeman a.k.a. Cousin Tuny), and that of an up and coming artist (Stormy). "Though country music is constantly evolving, we should never forget those artist who came before us. It was a real honor having a real life living legend like Tuny be in this video with me." Stormy says, "Her scenes really have an emotional punch and set the tone for what we hoped to accomplish."

About Stormy Montana:
At just 16 years old, Stormy Montana (real name) has proven to have one of the largest and most dedicated fan bases in all of country music. She doesn't attribute this simply to her age, but to the music itself, which is grounded in the best traditions of country music, with an eye towards the more accessible pop country of today's generation. Stormy began singing live in bars and honky-tonks at 9 years old and hasn't stopped since. Her love of music and performing is evident by the fact her mother never had to push her to sing and perform, it's simply what she wanted to do. Teaming with renound vocal coach Teresa Smith, and surrounding herself with a great team of Nashville insiders and music professionals, Stormy set sail on her life's calling. The culmination of these early years of hard work can be heard on her new C.D. “Someone Like Me” which has already sold nearly 7,500 physical copies. Stormy Montana To Release “Someone Like Me” Online and Worldwide
October 10, 2009

Country music artist Stormy Montana will release her highly acclaimed and top selling C.D., “Someone Like Me” online and worldwide November 15th, 2009 through i-Tunes, Amazon, LaLa, Rhapsody, Napster, and other online vendors.

“Someone Like Me” has already sold close to 7,000 physical copies since release, a virtually un-heardof feat in todays country music climate. In fact, had the C.D. been Soundscanned from the beginning, “Someone Like Me”would have remained in the Top 20 Billboard Country Music Chart throughout much of the year.

Featuring 15 top quality songs by hit songwriters such as Dave Pahanish, Casey Kessel, Marcus Hummon, andJames Slater; and recorded at Nashville’s finest studios featuring Nashville’s finest musicians, “Someone Like Me” is knee deep in great music that everyone can enjoy.

The release date is a reflection of the Christmas season and the decision to release “Someone Like Me” online for the first time came after much deliberation. Stormy says, “At first we wanted to keep the C.D. offline completely, believing that the best way to sell ‘Someone Like Me‘ was for me to play shows, shake hands, and meet as many people as possible. As time moved on we found that the demand for ‘Someone Like Me‘ at the shows was overwhelming, leading us to sell out very quickly. At the same time, everyday we were getting request for the C.D. from places as far away as Japan and Germany. We concluded we needed to have ‘Someone Like Me‘ in all the online stores so that the fans who weren’t able to purchase the C.D. at the shows, and those around the world, could.”

NASHVILLE, TN – Nashville will once again celebrate July 4th like only the Music City can – with great music and one of the nation’s best fireworks displays! Country music superstar Wynonna will headline the 25th anniversary of the “Music City July 4th: Let Freedom Sing!” celebration in Riverfront Park. The show line-up will also include The Gabe Dixon Band, the Grammy-winning Nashville Symphony Orchestra (NSO) and Nashville actor Barry Scott. The world-renowned Fisk Jubilee Singers will perform the national anthem.

“Singing with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra?  My favorite. Being in Nashville for the July 4th weekend with my family to celebrate the South’s largest fireworks display? Even better. Using my gift to encourage and inspire others during this tough economic time?  My purpose. This event is the total package for me and I’m going to sing it like nobody’s business,” said Wynonna.

Downtown festivities will begin at noon with the free Family Fun Zone featuring inflatables for all ages, sponsored by Coca-Cola. Pre-show live music will take place from 3 - 6 p.m. on the NowPlayingNashville.com stage. The official two-hour concert will kick off at 7 p.m. CST and will conclude with the South's largest fireworks show at approximately 9:10 p.m. arranged by Pyro Shows and choreographed to music by the NSO. All events are free and open to the public.

“Only in Nashville can friends and family spend the 4th of July at a free concert with a neighbor, who happens to be a multi-platinum, ground-breaking superstar like Wynonna,” said Mayor Karl Dean. “Independence Day is about joining together in celebration of our freedoms and our country, and at the riverfront in downtown Nashville it’s also about celebrating Music City.”

The Wreckers' Jessica Harp to Release Solo Album Summer 2009
April 29, 2009

Best known for her collaboration with Michelle Branch in the country duo The Wreckers, Warner Nashville is proud to release Jessica Harp’s first solo album A Woman Needs this summer, with her album single “Boy Like Me” already climbing the charts. This week, the pop-country singer secured the iTunes Video of the Week spot for “Boy Like Me,” which fans can download for free from the site.

In June 2004, aspiring country singer Jessica Harp packed everything into her car and left her Kansas City, MO, hometown for Tennessee to finalize a recording contract with Nashville indie-label Dualtone Music Group. Fate intervened when her best friend Michelle Branch called somewhere along the way and asked her to form a country/pop duo, which the girls dubbed The Wreckers. A No. 1 country single, a gold album, a Grammy-Award nomination, and high-profile tours with Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban followed, but Harp could never shake the feeling of wanting to show the world what she could do on her own.

Now she finally has that chance with the upcoming release of her major-label solo debut A Woman Needs — a breezy modern-country collection that finds the honey-voiced Harp telling appealingly relatable stories about her life, loves, and heartbreaks on tracks like the playful “Boy Like Me,” the feisty “A Woman Needs,” and the earthy “Homemade Love.” “Country music is about real people and real things, and that always spoke to me not only as a music fan, but as a singer-songwriter,” Harp says. “I like to tell stories with my songs. This is the album I have dreamed of making since I was eight years old and singing along to my mom’s Judds and Reba McEntire records.”

While The Wreckers were touring with Keith Urban in the summer of 2007, Harp had begun writing songs on her own. She befriended Urban’s bass player, Jerry Flowers, who, in addition to being a musician, is also a singer, producer, and songwriter. Flowers wound up co-writing several tracks on A Woman Needs, including the title track, “Break-Up Song,” and “More To This Than You,” as well as producing the album.

One thing Harp and Flowers knew going in to make A Woman Needs is that they wanted the album to be fun and upbeat. “That was another lesson I learned during my crash course with The Wreckers,” Harp says. “Aside from the singles, Stand Still, Look Pretty is a sad album, and we would play hour-long sets at these big fairs and festivals where people just wanted to dance and have a good time. So I was thinking about touring and playing the songs live when we recorded the album. But I think there’s something for everyone here.”
