Why country music ?
~ Country music is where my roots are. I grew up listening to Dixie Chicks, Deana Carter, Shania Twain, and many more so, being a country music artist came natural and felt right.

If everything would be possible (waking the dead included), which two people should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ Two of my favorite voices in country music are Alison Krauss and Vince Gill so anytime they sing together I just melt!

What song you ever recorded means the most to you and why?
~ Every song I record means the world to me but, I’d have to say a song called Ladies Room Convention, which will be released soon, currently means the most. I feel it truly captures who I am as an artist and as a person! I have so much fun performing it and I can’t wait for the public to hear it!

Who would you like to write a song for you?
~ Hillary Lindsey or Taylor Swift! Both are just such incredible writers it would be an honor to sing a song written by either.

What is the one thing that readers/fans would be surprised to know about you?
~ I am actually afraid of goats. Yes, goats. I was attacked by a goat at a petting zoo one year at summer camp and I have the scar to prove it! So no trendy Goat Yoga for me.

Give us one country song you never want to hear on radio anymore and tell us why.
~ One song doesn’t come to mind and I support anyone who gets to share their music through the airwaves. However, I would love to hear more female voices on country radio!

What is the question interviewers never seem to ask you and…you wish they would? (Please provide your answer as well.)
~ What my favorite food is because I am such a foodie. I am from Texas so naturally some good Tex Mex tacos are my favorite thing to eat.

Describe the ultimate recording studio (not the technique but the facilities)
~ I have always dreamt of having a studio up in a treehouse! How cool would it be to hang out and record amongst the trees? So cool.

Johnny or June ?
~ June because, girl power! But also because she was so many of the things I strive to be like a singer, songwriter, actress, comedian, dancer, and an author.

Are you still nervous before going on stage and if so, do you use any “rituals” to calm you nerves.
~ There are definitely still times I get nervous but it is more of an anxious/excited feeling to be out on stage entertaining. But, anytime that wave of nerves hits, I say a prayer, shake it off and head out on stage!

What was the most memorable day in your musical career and tell us why.
~ For me, so far, it would have to be the day I moved to Nashville. I had been making trips back and forth for a few years but it felt like I had finally taken the first big step in the pursuit of my career as I tried to figure out how to get my couch up the elevator.
