Exclusive Interview with Chantele DiBrava

Chantele DiBrava

About Chantele DiBrava

Why country music ?
~ I initially got interested in country because of the songs, the melodies and the musicianship. Plus my mom has always been a huge Elvis and Dolly Parton fan. But I fell in love with country when I first discovered Miranda lambert and the pistol Annie’s. I completely fell in love with that first album “Hell on heels” which then put me on to Miranda, Ashley Monroe who I also love, little big town, Carrie underwood the blown away album, Blake Shelton, Zack Brown band and of course Florida Georgia line.

If everything would be possible (waking the dead included) , which two people should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ Myself and Dolly Parton. She is the ultimate country star. The complete package. Head to toe. And I’m sure I could learn a thing or two with the opportunity to work with her.

Who would you like to write a song for you?
~ Luke Laird.

What is the one thing that readers/fans would be surprised to know about you?
~ That I can sing opera and have a theater background. I’ve danced my whole life and love the ballet!

Give us one country song you never want to hear on radio anymore and tell us why.
~ “Burning House” LOL Just kidding!!! But on that note, “My Mistake” is actually a song I felt never got enough push, so what I will say is I wish I heard MORE of “My Mistake” by Cam on country radio. How’s that!

What is the question interviewers never seem to ask you and…you wish they would? (Please provide your answer as well.)
~ I haven’t been interviewed enough to be able to actually answer that question, hit me back in 3 months!!! Hopefully if all goes well I’ll be able to answer it for you then!

Describe the ultimate recording studio (not the technique but the facilities)
~ The ultimate studio for me would be in Hawaii steps from the beach!!!! That would be the ultimate!!!

Johnny or June ?
~ Johnny, but I must say I LOVED June’s style. Absolutely stunning.

Are you still nervous before going on stage and if so, do you use any “rituals” to calm you nerves.
~ There is always a bit of nervousness. I say a pray and ask God to help me be the best I can be.

What was the most memorable day in your musical career and tell us why.
~ Being able to perform at the Super Bowl tailgating throw down. That was INCREDIBLE! By far!!!
