Why is the country music genre, your genre of choice to perform?
~ Country music is real, the lyrics speak to me and I can relate to it personally. Country music is "story" songs. …Not to mention that country music has the best fans in the world!

If everything and anything would be possible (waking the dead included), which two people do you think should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ Keith Whitley and Merle Haggard

What song (that you’ve recorded) means the most to you and why?
~ "Any Other Way"–It’s not the most lyrically genius song, but it’s just me and about how I grew up. It’s my story, my history, in three and a half minutes. It’s as a tribute to my family and hometown.

What song do you wish you had recorded and why?
~ "I’m Over You" by Keith Whitley. It’s just a such a simple but true song. Who hasn’t been through that situation in their lifetime?

Who would you like to collaborate with or what renowned songwriter would you like to write a song especially for you?
~ Dean Dillon. My musical hero is George Strait and Dean has been a part of nearly every Strait song recorded. He just flat out knows his way around a country song. I’d love to get in the writer room with him.

Who is your personal favorite recording artist and why?
~ This is tough, my hero is George Strait because he’s who turned me on to country music as a kid. But overall, my all time favorite artist is Keith Whitley. Keith made the listener "feel" every word in his songs. He had such a haunting but pure voice; he was an amazing writer, and a great musician. He’s a big influence of on me and the music I try to write and record.

Whiskey? Wine? Beer? Soft drink? Milk or Water? What is your favorite beverage of choice? (Include name and why)
~ Sweet Tea. I’m from Arkansas, nuff said!

Describe the ultimate recording studio (not the technique but the facilities)
~ I like a studio that’s off the beaten path. Creekhouse Studio, where I cut all the vocals for my record, is a great example. Its about 40 minutes from Nashville; its built like an ole log cabin in the woods. It has a layed back vibe and reminds me alot of the lake house back home. I just felt really comfortable.

Describe the ultimate performance/stage and why you would like to perform there.
~ I love any stage with loud country music fans that are ready for a good time. I guess, I’d just hope its bigger than the front room of Tootsies!

What are your top favorite 3 songs of all time (any genre).
~ "Unwound" by George Strait, "I’m Over You" by Keith Whitley, and "Makeup And Faded Blue Jeans" by Merle Haggard

What song or recording artists, as a teenager, do you hate to admit (now) that you actually liked?
~ Well, I loved looking at Britney Spears–no matter what she sang. (If that counts.)

Looking back at high school, what is the one thing you would change or like to forget?
~ I just wish I could go back to my senior year and enjoyed it a little more. I was so uptight and kind of a nervous kid. I would have been a little more care free in my senior year.

Do you have an “ick” food? (What is it and why?)
~ Sushi. I just can’t eat something that I’d use for bait!

What is the one thing that readers/fans would be surprised to know about you?
~ As outgoing as I am on stage, i’m a pretty shy guy. I’m not sure why, but I’ve always been that way.
