About Amy Rose

  • Interview date: September 29, 2012

Why country music ?
~ Basically the same as most country singers, It is what I grew up on. My family has always listened to classic country, and I was hooked.

If everything would be possible (waking the dead included) , which two people should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ Amy Rose and Dolly Parton, lol. I’m a huge fan of Dolly, love her, idealize her and cant’ get enough of her!!!

What song you ever recorded means the most to you and why?
~ That is easy… Redneck Reunion, Party Like a Redneck. It is a song that I co-wrote with my producers Glenn Coulson and Marty Beecroft based on the product of my redneck family!!!

Who would you like to write a song for you?
~ Taylor Swift, because everything she touches turns to gold.

Whisky wine beer or water?
~ Definitely VODKA Especially with a fruity blend.

What is the question interviewers never seem to ask you and…you wish they would? (Please provide your answer as well.)

~ I’m not sure there isn’t a question that I haven’t been asked with the exception of how I like my eggs… (FYI sunny side up)

If you could turn back time to make only one change, what would you change?

~ I wish I could go back to my grade 8 graduation and tell myself that no matter how much I think lime green was in style, it was not… lol (Needless to say guess what color my dress was) lol

Johnny or June ?
~ I completely admire both of these incredible artist but if I had to choose I would say June, because of her talent, beauty and her ability to mesmerize crowds with her extremely funny personality!!!

What is the one thing that readers/fans would be surprised to know about you?
~ That I have 3 absolutely amazing daughters!!! My girls are the reason I continue everyday with an open heart and mind… I’m truly blessed!!!

Are you still nervous before going on stage and if so, do you use any “rituals” to calm you nerves.
~ Oh god no!!! The stage is my home and I can’t remember a time I’ve ever been nervous to step foot on stage and sing, however I do bite my nails before my shows and this bad habit seems to be a stress re-leaver for me…And I usually perform barefoot, except during Winterfest.

What was the most memorable day in your musical career and tell us why.
~ I love Conway and though I had never got the chance to meet him, I did get to share a stage with his two daughters Joni and Cathy Twitty on a Gospal tour when I was 13 with the release of my first album "One Special Girl"
