Why country music ?
~ I grew up on all sorts of music but something drew me to Country for whatever reason. I think it was the honesty and the realness that appealed to me. I like music that cuts to the core and tells the truth!
If everything would be possible (waking the dead included) , which two people should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ I think it’s already happened many times over! George Jones and Tammy Wynette 🙂
What song you ever recorded means the most to you and why?
~ Maybe Hillbilly Picken Ramblin Girl because it was one of my first and tells my story from day one until now!
Who would you like to write a song for you?
~ I would have loved John Prine to have written a song for me but we unfortunately lost him to Covid 19 🙁
You performed at the Grand Ole Opry at the age of 17. Can you still describe the feeling when you entered the stage?
~ Complete and utter fear and joy!
Give us one country song you never want to hear on radio anymore and tell us why.
~ Cruise by Florida Georgia Line, cos I’ve heard it too many times and that’s enough! Haha
What is the question interviewers never seem to ask you and…you wish they would?
~ Whats it really like to be Catherine Britt – It’s a big old mess up in this head on a good day! Haha
How does the corona crisis influence your career at this moment ?
~ It just affects my income because I cannot tour like I am used too, but things are starting to get back to normal now!
Johnny or June ?
~ Johnny all the way cos he was the real talent and that voice!!!
Are you still nervous before going on stage and if so, do you use any “rituals” to calm you nerves.
~ I get very nervous and I drink to calm my nerves! Haha
What was the most memorable day in your musical career and tell us why.
~ Probably meeting Elton John for the first time because my whole life changed after that and it’s never been the same!!
