Exclusive Interview with Erin Enderlin

Nashville based singer AND songwriter Erin Enderlin is a great storyteller and fortunately, her marvellous songwriting skills have not gone unnoticed. Many of her songs are recorded by famous Country Music Artists like Alan Jackson, Lee Ann Womack, Randy Travis and Reba McEntire to name a few.

Although Erin Enderlin has been very busy in recent years, she still found time to write and record “Faulkner County”, a full-length album due to be released this November (2019). Read more about Erin Enderlin in this Exclusive interview with The Country Startpage:

About Erin Enderlin

Why country music ?
~ It’s what I grew up listening to, I really fell in love with it before I could talk. I love the sounds, the fiddle and steel, I love the stories, and I loved how it seemed like they were all one big family.

If everything would be possible (waking the dead included) , which two people should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ Oh man, I don’t know. There’s been some really good ones out there. I love Patty Loveless and George Jones on “You Don’t Seem To Miss Me”.

What are your thoughts about the way country music has evolved the last decade?
~ There’s a lot of stuff I love.  There’s some stuff I don’t care for. But I think that’s just personal taste and you could say about any time period.  I love Chris Stapleton, Brandy Clark, Larkin Poe, Kalsey Waldon, Pistol Annies, and so much more!

Some famous artist’s recorded your songs. Who would you like to write a song for you?
~ I love songs that I love, I wouldn’t care who wrote ’em!

What is the one thing that readers/fans would be surprised to know about you?
~ I went to boarding school in high school.

Give us one country song you never want to hear on radio anymore and tell us why.
~ I’d rather talk about the songs I love to hear on the radio! Like I’d love to hear the whole new Tanya Tucker record on the radio.

What is the question interviewers never seem to ask you and…you wish they would?
~ What are your cats’ names?
Anna and Porter.

You are a real storyteller. Is there also a novelist hidden in you somewhere waiting to come out?
~ Oh yeha. I’d love to write a book one day. I’ve actually started working on one.

Johnny or June ?
~ I’ll take both – they are both awesome, and have been such a huge part of the lexicon of country music.

Are you still nervous before going on stage and if so, do you use any “rituals” to calm you nerves.
~ I always get a little nervous, but I think that’s good. Don’t have any rituals.

Your new album “Faulkner County” will be released on 11.1.19 Can you give us 5 words that describe the album as best as possible?
~ Yes. Fiddle, Steel, Stories, Friends, Me
