If everything would be possible (waking the dead included) , which two people should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ The ultimate country duet – that’s a tough one because I think it’s already been done – June Carter Cash and Johnny Cash. Their voices complimented each other very well.
What song you ever recorded means the most to you and why?
~ "Since I Met You" – its a song about my husband who I have been happily married to for 21 years
Who would you like to write a song for you?
~ Byron Hill – he is a top notch songwriter out of Nashville and I like his style
Whisky wine beer or water?
~ Wine – red wine. There’s just something about drinking a glass of wine.
If you could turn back time to make only one change, what would you change?
~ That there would be no Cancer. Cancer took my daughter three years ago. She was only 20 years old.
What is the question interviewers never seem to ask you and…you wish they would? (Please provide your answer as well.)
~ What keeps me motivated to be a singer/songwriter? When you step on stage and you have an audience that looks up at you and then applauds after you sing to them – that’s awesome. It makes me want to go back for more.
Describe the ultimate recording studio (not the technique but the facilities)
~ I’m not aware of a lot of studios but an ultimate recording studio would be one where the artist can feel totally relaxed and have a great rapport with the producer and the musicians. A place where you can work hard but have fun at the same time.
Johnny or June ?
~ June was a very strong woman. She went through a lot for a woman in her time – divorce, single mother, travelling artist (and had to put up with a bunch of drunk men). She kept her wits about her.
Give us your top 3 country songs ever.
~ Top 3? There are so many! Ring of Fire, Crazy, He Stopped Loving Her Today
What was the most memorable day in your musical career and tell us why.
~ Getting a standing ovation from my home town crowd this past summer after I sang my song "I Know You’re Here" . A song I wrote about my daughter who passed away from cancer.
