Why country music ?
~ Country music has always been a part of the Van Zant family. The new country today was founded on the southern rock of yesterday. Southern rock was, and still is, up-tempo progressions with grass roots country.
If everything would be possible (waking the dead included) , which two people should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson (haha) But really, I think Patsy Cline and Reba should.
What song you ever recorded means the most to you and why?
~ I think all the songs that I have recorded have a special meaning to me because they were all created in the moment.
Who would you like to write a song for you?
~ I would be honored for any artist to write one for me.
Whisky wine beer or water?
~ I enjoy a little, wine, whiskey, and beer! Each one stands for different occasions.
If you could turn back time to make only one change, what would you change?
~ I wish I knew what I know now when I was younger.
What is the question interviewers never seem to ask you and…you wish they would? (Please provide your answer as well.)
~ Do you love the life your living? We seem to get lost in social media that this personal question is never asked. I would answer yes, of course. I am very thankful.
Describe the ultimate recording studio (not the technique but the facilities)
~ I can’t recall any one that stands out to me. I have been in many different recording studios and they all had something that appealed to me.

~ I would never choose one over the other. They were a match that couldn’t be broken.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
~ Fishing seems to be good for me, or working in the yard. They both seem to relax me from the everyday bump and grind that we all go through.
What was the most memorable day in your musical career and tell us why.
~ I have many great memories but the one moment that seems to stand out to me is when I signed my first deal in music at the top of Rockefeller Plaza, New York City.
