Why country music ?
~ Country music has always been a big part of my life. In fact, I’d say it was the soundtrack to my childhood and still is the soundtrack to my everyday life. Country music lends itself to sooth and comfort any emotion.
If everything would be possible (waking the dead included), which two people should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ Conway Twitty and Patsy Cline.
What song (that you’ve recorded) means the most to you and why?
~ “You’re All I Need” – I wrote it with the idea of finding my better half and how she and I would fit together just right. Turned out to be a song that others have fallen in love with and adapted as their song as a couple.

Who was your hero on Television as a kid?
~ Charles from “Charles in Charge”
What is the one thing that readers/fans would be surprised to know about you?
~ I’m not a big fan of the Beatles
Give us one country song you never want to hear on radio anymore and tell us why.
~ I’ve been trying to think on this one for a bit. I am coming up empty handed. Before I became an entertainer/singer, I’m sure there were several songs I would switch the radio when I heard them. Now as a singer/songwriter, I have a deeper appreciation for all songs because someone took the time and effort to write it.
What is the question interviewers never seem to ask you and…you wish they would?
~ I always get asked what singer influenced me the most, but who inspires me the most? My family did as a child. My mother and aunt knew how much I loved to sing. However, I was too shy. They both always found ways to encourage me.
If you had to choose a city to live in outside America which city would you choose?
~ Sydney, Australia….no particular reason why….just looks cool in pictures..lol. While at a timeshare meeting one time, they asked a similar question..and I gave that answer. The guy laughed. I thought…well…lol….that’s my reasoning.

Johnny or June?
~ June..lol. Behind every successful man is a strong woman! I feel they are a package deal…but knowing the back story of them…she was his rock and inspiration.
Are you still nervous before going on stage and if so, do you use any “rituals” to calm you nerves.
~ Sometimes I find myself a little nervous, especially if it is being filmed. I don’t know what it is about it…I guess maybe because you never know who is watching. Ritual to handle it?!?! Hmmmm……I grab my Halls Cough Drop like I do for every show. I always like to keep one resting between my gum and cheek so that it keeps me from getting dry mouth.
What was the most memorable day in your musical career?
~ JOver the past 6 years I have worked several dates with Ronnie McDowell as a harmony singer. At one of the shows, Ronnie shared the stage with Collin Raye. I got to sing harmony for Collin and while singing the song “Love, Me,” he turned towards me and smiled. Such a great feeling to know that he liked what I added to the performance of the song.
Where is best place for music lovers to find out more about you?
