Why country music ?
~ It picked me. It was what I was drawn to. I really dig the storylines of country music. It made me feel, made me think, made me live in present and past moments. That’s what I try to do with my music for the listener.
If everything and anything would be possible (waking the dead included) , which two people do you think should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ George Strait and Faith Hill – I think that would be killer
What song (that you’ve recorded) means the most to you and why?
~ A song that I co-wrote called “Lie With You”. It’s going to be on this new project. The storyline is very unique. It was a different type of song for me to write. It challenged me and forced me to think outside the box. Its a double entendre and I’m excited for people to hear it and see if they get it.
Who would you like to write a song for you?
~ I’d pick Shane McAnally and Sam Hunt. Both of those guys are bosses when it comes to writing. They write cool and very unique songs.

Give us one country song you never want to hear on radio anymore and tell us why.
~ That’s a scary question haha. There are songs that aren’t really my thing but that doesn’t mean they aren’t good songs, just not my flavor. But the songs obviously being played on radio and those artist have great success with them So that means somebody likes them. So I guess that’s me not really answering the question haha.
What is the question interviewers never seem to ask you and…you wish they would? (Please provide your answer as well.)
~ Honestly, most interview questions are what I want to talk about the music and my journey. However, if an interviewer every brought up golf or boats. I could go on and on about those topics. I’m an avid (average) golfer haha and if I could I would live on a boat and be a boat bum.
Johnny or June? (and tell us the reason behind your choice.)
~ That’s a tough question. I don’t know if I can pick one over the other. I’m more a Johnny Cash music fan, but she was also a great singer. Plus, she was the driving force for his music and the one that really helped him along in his time of need So should we be thanking her for his music? I dunno
Are you still nervous before going on stage and if so, do you use any “rituals” to calm you nerves.
~ I get anxious. I get pumped up. I’ll drink some whiskey it helps calm me down and its also good for vocal chords.
What was the most memorable day in your musical career and tell us why.
~ It actually just happened not to long ago. I was driving in the car with my parents and my song came on the radio. It was the first time that I had heard it on the radio when I wasn’t expecting it. It was crazy feeling. I was like “holy cow, that’s actually me”.
