Why country music ?
~ It’s where I belonged. What I wrote about…how I wrote…the kind of songs I heard and fell in love with growing up… when I stood foot at my first CCMA’s I knew I found the people who understood me, my music, and the things I wanted to say in my songs.

If everything would be possible (waking the dead included) , which two people should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash!! lol  Both those guys are legends in my mind and boy to hear them fire up a tune would be cool.  Ultimate guy/girl combo would be cool if we could get …hmmmm has Vince Gill and Reba sang together?  Boy that’d be great!…nevermind…just googled it… of course they’ve sung several times…and I forgot how much I love those tunes…(thanks for reminding me:)….ok…well after that search….put VInce and Dolly back on the stage!  Always gorgeous.!

What song you ever recorded means the most to you and why?
~ Picture Of You…an old tune that seems to have stood the test of time in my heart.  I wrote it while on my very first tour.

Who would you like to write a song for you?
~ One Republic – I don’t write like them, so it’d be cool to have their approach on a song specific for me.

Whisky wine beer or water?
~ Whiskey

What song or recording artist, as a teenager, do you hate to admit (now) that you actually liked?
~ Hmmm can’t say I’ve ever liked a tune or artist then, that I still don’t like now…at the time they all mean somethin’.  Lol…not ashamed of any of my growing pain years musical selection….I had such a wide variety of musical influences from my mother and father, to my siblings (7), and EVERYONE played an instrument and we all played together…all musical styles were at my finger tips:)

What is the question interviewers never seem to ask you and…you wish they would? (Please provide your answer as well.)
~ How much do you love to play music?  I would answer…I LOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVEEEE playing music!  I could talk for days about the wonderful blessing that it is to perform music for people….to feel their reactions…to know, that what you get to do, is a beautiful thing.  Shall I go on? 🙂

Describe the ultimate recording studio (not the technique but the facilities)
~ A dimmer switch for the lights is always nice:)

Johnny or June ?
~ June…she put up with Johnny:)

Are you still nervous before going on stage and if so, do you use any “rituals” to calm you nerves ?
~ Not nervous…anxious…it’s my favorite part of everything I do…the performance is an epic feeling…I usually wind down 15 minutes before show time…I’ve already warmed up my voice…my body…and now it’s time to line up my mind with what’s about to happen…focus..concentrate…breathe….then open my eyes…and it’s game on!  No turning back…the hard works been done….time to let it out on the stage!

What was the most memorable day in your musical career and tell us why.
~ The day my first song was played on the radio…I kept missing it…Until finally I was almost home…and they announce my tune coming up next… it started accidentally before they quickly caught it and went to a news break….I waited….and then boom!!! the first chord rang out like a rock song and I cranked it up with a silly little grin….I can still feel it.
