Exclusive Interview with Paul Street
Why country music ?
~ Because my songwriting always leaned towards the genre melodically and it allows me to go deeper into a story than pop does. You get more for your money! Ha!
If everything would be possible (waking the dead included) , which two people should sing the ultimate country duet?
~ Kelly Clarkson and Keith Urban
What song you ever recorded means the most to you and why?
~ "Breathe Love In" from my first CD means the most because it was the result of many years of therapy. Creating misery was my hobby. Now I just breathe through it and come out on top.
Who would you like to write a song for you?
~ Brad Paisley
Whisky wine beer or water?
What is the question interviewers never asked you while you were always hoping they would. (and give us your answer)?
~ Did you ever consider giving up on music as a profession? Answer: It's not just what I do, it's who I am. I write cause I have to not cause I want to get paid for it. I love music!
Describe the ultimate recording studio (not the technique but the facilities)
~ I own it! In my home I have a solid Pro Tools HD rig, Lawson Mics, Fearn Preamp, Trakker compressor...and tons of high end gear. They don't write songs for me but they help represent them well.
Johnny or June ?
Give us your top 3 country songs ever.
~ Cowboy in Me-Tim McGraw, Independence Day- Martina McBride and Good as I Once Was- Toby Keith.
We love to bring our readers exclusive scoops, so what would you like to share with us ?
